Fantastic place! Recommend in particular the handmade noodles - mind-blowingly delicious!! We were less keen on the hot pot dish (thought the soup lacked flavour) but will definitely go back for those noodles!!! Wish they served more than just lager in terms of alcohol.

Absolutely incredible! Murger Han at Elephant and Castle is a hidden gem for authentic Xi’an Chinese food. The murger (Chinese-style burger) was packed with flavour – the pork was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, tucked into a freshly baked flatbread that was crispy on the outside and soft inside. It’s honestly addictive. But the beef ribs completely blew me away. Fall-off-the-bone tender, richly marinated, and served in a portion generous enough to satisfy any meat lover. The spices hit the perfect balance between savoury, slightly spicy, and aromatic. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere had a casual, modern vibe. All the staffs are very friendly and highly professional and they have a deep knowledge about their food , one of staff SHAKIL gave us a very good explanation about their menu. Thank you SHAKIL. This place is a must-visit if you’re into bold, authentic Chinese street food. Will definitely be coming back!

Delicious Chinese meals are served here with friendly and attentive staff. You may be wondering what a “murger” is. Lucky for you, the menu includes wonderfully explained stories on each category of food on the menu. It’s a joy to read about the dishes historical origins and to view the lovely illustrations paired with it. A great way to learn some culture, and about your food! The biang biang noodles are high quality and springy, and super super flavourful. The wonton soup offers a more delicate, light flavor, but is still flavourful and delicious. If you’re not in the mood for a heavy meal, I recommend getting that. The interior decor features playful elements that will make for a good background on an Instagram post. The exterior decor is really eye catching and fun! Giant rainbow noodles! This restaurant is LGBT friendly and is loud and proud about it! There’s lots of classy rainbow themed decor inside. If it weren’t for the pride flag hanging outside, I would have just assumed it was purely aesthetics. Overall a lovely place to eat.

We had the chance to visit Murger Han Elephant Castle. The waiter and team were very attentive to us. The choice of food in the menu was very good and the food itself was delicious. We love having a table with many dishes in the middle to share as a family and this is what we got :) I recommend you try this place if you are in the area.

Authentic Northwestern Chinese food is served here with a tidy environment and friendly staff. I 100% recommend their Short Rib Biangbiang Noodle! It is so tasty since the rib is very tender and flavoured. The biangbiang noodle is so silkily but chewy, which is very important in a traditional northwestern cuisine. You can even have biang-biang noodles, tea and soy milk with a free refill.

I recently visited Murger Han Elephant & Castle and had an incredible meal. Their noodles were unlike any I’ve had before—flat, thin, and wide, with a wonderfully chewy texture that soaked up all the delicious flavours. I tried both the pork and beef options, and each dish was packed with rich, savoury ingredients that made every bite satisfying. For starters, I had their signature flat bun with pulled pork, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside. It was a great balance of textures and flavours, making it an excellent introduction to the meal. The restaurant itself had a lively atmosphere, and it was clear that it’s a popular spot among Chinese diners—a great sign of authenticity. If you're looking for a unique and flavourful noodle experience, I’d highly recommend checking this place out!
